Moreland Guesthouse - The Moreland Guesthouse is nestled on a residential side street in a safe, older, working-class neighborhood nicknamed Iron Island. Almost entirely surrounded by railroad tracks, this once industrial hub was settled by Italian, Polish and German-American families whose children still occupy most of the area today. Here, you will experience a traditional Buffalo neighborhood that is easy to get to and from. We are approximately 5 miles from Downtown Buffalo and the Airport and no more than a 15-minute drive to everything the City and our immediate suburbs have to offer. While the best way to get around Buffalo is by car, we are within short walking distance to two major bus routes for guests that need access to public transportation. Like many areas of Buffalo, Iron Island has seen better days and for some guests our neighborhood leaves much to be desired. Others appreciate its authenticity and find it to be convenient. Alongside the cottage-style, single-family homes that line our streets, there is a 7-11, pizzeria, breakfast diner, bar and drug store within a few blocks. There is also a supermarket that is relatively close, allowing guests to take advantage of our fully-equipped kitchen. For a better dinning and nightlife experience, our innkeepers are always happy to recommend some of our favorite places around the City.

Our location is a short drive from the I-90 and 190 and offers easy access to and from the Buffalo / Niagara International Airport, Peace Bridge and Downtown Buffalo.

Take the #24 bus toward Downtown. Get off at Genesee Street & Bailey Avenue and transfer to the #19 bus towards Abbott Road. Get off on Bailey Avenue and Lovejoy Street.

From downtown bus terminal

Take the #1 bus at Ellicott Street and William Street towards Goethe Loop or Appletree. Get off at East Lovejoy Street and Greene Street.
