All of our bathrooms are shared.  There is a dormitory-style bathroom on the second floor and a private half bath on the first floor.  The interior layout is the same as when the building served as a nun's convent. 

The Moreland Guest House offers daily and weekly rates only. 

While we are not a 5 star property, we pride ourselves in accommodating our guests (if at all possible and within reason) in any way that we can.  Call us.  Our innkeeprs are happy to help you make all the appropriate arrangements for your stay. 

We have a shared refrigerator in our kitchen area.  Guests are also given cabinet space for their dry goods in our butler's pantry. 

The kitchen is open 24/7 for your use.  There are pots, pans, eating utensils and some of the seasoning spices you'll need to whip up your favorite dish.  We only ask that you limit your food preparation to 1 hour and you clean up after yourself as soon as you’re done.  It’s important that all guests have kitchen time and are able to cook in a clean space.  After all, this is part of our guarantee. 

All you have to do is bring yourself.  A clean set of towels, linens and blankets are provided. 

Yes.  It's included in our daily and weekly rates and it's pretty fast too. 

We do have reserved on-site parking for a minimal fee.  There is also lots of FREE street parking near our guest house. 

Every room includes DirectTV.

We do not allow smoking in any of our guest rooms or common areas.  However, there is a back enclosed porch where you can play billiards and converse with other guests.  You're free to smoke in there. 

We do not have a washer and dryer on-site but there is a laundromat within walking distance of the Moreland Guest House.  There is also a drop off service nearby.

We clean your room before you check-in and again when you check-out.  We'll provide you with all of the cleaning supplies needed to keep up the tidiness of your room for the duration of your stay.  

Yes.  You will be given a key to the guest house as well as to your room.  You have complete privacy and can come and go as you please. 

No.  Guests staying at the Moreland have the option of paying daily or weekly.  The rate you pay is determined by which payment schedule you choose.  Some guests utilize both.  They start out paying daily then move to weekly.  

Each room has a television but you are free to bring your own.  We want you to feel completely at home. 

We do not permit air conditioning units, coffee makers, mini-refrigerators, hot plates, microwaves or any other like items  in the room. 

We do not accept pets.

New York State requires all guests staying 90 days or less to pay 8.75% in sales tax.  Erie County requires a 3% occupancy tax for all guests staying less than 30 days, making your total tax bill 11.75%.  

For our extended stay guests, these taxes will be refunded and waived once you've met the number of consecutive days required for the taxes to no longer apply to your stay.
